Our Mission

Johnson County, Kansas and the cities within the county have enjoyed long-term growth by providing a high quality of living to their citizens. Throughout this growth, one of the Johnson County 's greatest strengths has been the ability of the construction industry, working in partnership with code enforcement agencies, to provide safe structures in which we live, work, provide education and places to purchase the goods and services necessary for our communities.

Adopted construction codes have played a major role in providing these safe structures. As the new century is fast approaching, Building Officials throughout Johnson County have made a commitment to coordinate the adoption and use of codes to achieve uniformity and consistency across jurisdictions.
